I'm a big Superhero fan. Big fan of Batman, Superman, and of course everyone's friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
Coming up on May 4th...all Spidey fans will be able to rejoice as the third installment in the film series hits the big screen. Question is...what are you doing to commemorate this momentous occassion?
Well, if you have the money and the time why not head to New York City! Why? Well the week of April 30th throught May 6th is being deemed "Spider-Man Week", complete with special events and festivals held around the city and visitations from cast members and more!
Spider-Man Week in NYC begins on Monday, April 30, with a cast appearance and street festival in the Today Show plaza at Rockefeller Center. The week continues with Spider-Man-themed programs offered through partnerships with the Tribeca Film Festival, and dozens of the city's cultural institutions and tourist attractions, including a special volunteer day for children through the Little Apple Heroes program, "spidery" tales for kids at the Brooklyn Children's Museum, "Spidey Chats" at the Central Park and Bronx Zoos, Green Goblin mask-making at the Children's Museum of Manhattan and a spider exhibit at the American Museum of Natural History. Original Spider-Man comic books will be on display at the New York Public Library, and the Apollo Theater in Harlem will host the closing day celebration with performances of Spider-Man inspired raps.
Sounds fun...could be some competition for our beloved Tulip Time huh? Good thing Tulip Time kicks of the folloing week! We should figure out a way to snag all those Spidey fans and direct them on down to Holland, Mi to stop and smell the tulips!
Which one would you prefer? "Spider-Man Week in NYC" or "Tulip Time"?
