So yeah...as previously posted, I have this new toy that allows me to draw on my computer. Not literally...but allows me to use photoshop and a pen mouse to accurately draw some fun things.
So take a look...see what you think!
That's me...somewhere warm and sunny.

A New Toy!
Okay...so Christmas is over and everyone is playing with all of the new toys they received...and I'm no different.
Well...even though it wasn't a gift, it is something I purchased. It's a WACOM tablet. If you don't know what that is...let me explain really quick.
It's a pad that you can use a mouse or pen mouse on. The pen is much more accurate and is pressure sensitive which mean I can start really making some awesome graphic things for the station.
I took a little time yesterday and drew out a quick picture. Here is an example of my actual drawing talent!
And yes...that's a drawing of me saying, "Hey!"
Hope you like...I'm sure I'll share more in days to come.

Almighty Heroes!
The creator of a toy many Baby Boomers played with has created a new toy for Boomers to give to their grandkids.
The "St. Petersburg Times" reports 78-year-old Don Levine the inventor of the 12-inch G.I. Joe Action figure, who left Hasbro in 1975, is launching a new line of action figures called the "Almighty Heroes" based on biblical figures like Moses, Noah and Queen Esther.
The pose-able Old Testament figure comes with accessories and a comic book that explains the characters exploits. Levine said, "The idea is to teach children exactly what the Bible talks about, and the strength of what it is."
The "Almighty Heroes" can be ordered online at www.FamilyValuesCenter.com

(By the way...the one on the left is Moses...the one on the right is David, from David and Goliath.)
Not what you expected I bet. Not what I pictured when I first heard about them. Oh well...if it brings kids closer to biblical stories, by all means, "Almight Heroes Away!"

I'm covering for Troy West and will be maning the Big Show. This is quite an opportunity for me...I'm honored...I hope I do it justice.
In honor of this momentous occasion, I decided to make a graphic that could capture the size and essance of the Big Show. So take a look...
Oh yeah...and don't forget to listen to the Big Show, weekdays, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

What is it Solution!
Alright...so about a week to figure it out...that wasn't too bad. Maybe I'm getting good enough to put a prize on the line...we'll see.
In any case...someone finally guessed the most recent image, and in fact it was mashed potatoes. The guess however...didn't come without a little guidance, I did after all give out a clue. :) It's okay...it's all in good fun!
So here is the original image...so you can see a little better of what you were looking at!

A Very Cool Idea...
Alright...first off...no one has guess on what the latest, "What is it?" picture...did I stump you all again? Maybe I should start offering prizes...hmm...it's a thought.
Anyway...moving on. I received an email from a friend today, and it was a legitimate email! How exciting! It wasn't just another forward, but rather something I'd like to share with you.
The email I received was about the company "Xerox". You're probably wondering where this is going...well, hang with me a minute.
Xerox is sponsoring a website where they will print out postcards to soldiers serving in Iraq. It's a GREAT project for all of us (kids included) to spend some time at the computer setting up cards to send.
If you go to this web site, http://www.letssaythanks.com, you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq. Now, unfortunetly you can't pick out who gets it, but it WILL go to some member of the armed services.
It is FREE and it only takes a second and I would say we should pass this on to everyone we know, that way those armed service members would know that they're in our thoughts this Holiday season!
Now...personally...I'm against the war in general, however, whether you are for or against the war, I say, our guys and gals over there need to know we are behind them...so take a moment and head to this site and send out a postcard, and feel free to leave a comment if you feel moved to do so.
Also, one last thing...these postcards were designed by kids, so they mean that little bit more. Oh and...THANKS XEROX!
Thanks...and Happy Holidays!

Alright...So it's been a while.
Hey Friends...
Haven't talked to you in quite some time huh? Sorry about that. Things have been only slightly busy around here...tis the season I suppose. Which reminds me...all too often throughout the Holiday season we get hyper-focused on our own needs and wants. Like what we want for Christmas...or what we need to get for someone else.
I just want to take a second and challenge you to take some time this Holiday season to stop by and say hello to someone you haven't talk to in a while. Or maybe send a Christmas card or gift to someone you know who isn't going to get anything this year. Just take time to slow down and look at those around you...I know I need to work on it too, so Good Luck!
Without further ado...here is another, "What is it?"
So...What is it?
Be nice...I'm a little out of practice.

"What is It?" Solution.
Alright...so I finally succeeded in stumping you. I'm almost hesitent to even reveal the answer, because I'm afraid I'll never find another difficult picture.
However...because I'm such a nice guy, I'll go ahead and show you, and tell you what the "green" image is.
First off...for those who haven't seen it, this is the image:
Now...here is the solution:
This is an ariel shot of Lakewood Blvd. in Holland. So essentially, it's an above shot of the trees. Thanks for all the fun and guessing!
Stay tuned for future stumpers!

The "Sorry Signal"
Alright...so I talked about this on my show last night and I thought that I should come up with a picture.
For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, let me explain.
The other day I was leaving Hudsonville and was on the entrance ramp to the highway. I like a little speed...so by the time I reached the highway, I was already going 70.
However...traffic was a little full on the highway. There were 2 semi trucks in the right lane and a continuous flow of traffic in the left. I fit right between the 2 semi trucks...although wasn't really comfortable with that.
Anyway...I wanted to get around the semi in front of me because he was going like 60 mph, and I had to slow down from 70. So I looked quickly and went to merge into the left lane, when I double checked I noticed a car and swerved back. Oops.
This is where my idea comes in. It was a "not-so-bright" move and I felt pretty lame about it. So it got me thinking...what if cars had "Sorry Signals" built into them. I pictured it kind of like a turn signal, only it's for apologizing for something you did that probably wasn't the best idea.
This is what I thought it would look like.
I imagine it to light up really, really bright to make sure people see it. I really don't believe it'll catch on, but I am sorry for being impatient on the road.
